I took part in Halloween Cross Stitch Exchange which was organized by [info]xstitchexchange Livejournal community. It was a big fun!

I am happy to say I’ve just received Halloween exchange parcel from [info]shadowspun! It safely came to Russia, phew! You know, I even had a nightmare once, just after joining that community about receiving a parcel from my new stitching friend. In my nightmare it was ripped and looted. Our post officers sometimes steal things and add junk into packages in order to have correct weight :(
But the package made it’s safe way to me, however it was opened by russian customs. Luckily they haven’t cut cross stitched items to search for drugs…

And what is inside?

Halloween Exchange

[info]shadowspun made for me 2 cross stitched pieces! They are cute scented sachets with clover and cinnamon aroma (if my olfaction doesn’t fail me) and the bigger one’s moon and Mr. Pumkin’s eyes are glowing in the dark! I found out it by chance, examining it close to my eyes I’ve noticed the structure of ivory thread is different from regular floss. So, call me detective ;)
It is small spider button attached to the bigger sachet, very cute!

Cat on pumkin sachet

What I like about smaller one are the details. There are only few stitches but they give us so much information on what is going on.

Cat, Pumkin and a Witch

I love these sachets very-very much! They are adorable and I can’t stop taking them into my hands again and again!

I also love other gifts: cards and the book! My new stitching friend wrote me very heart-warming postcard with japanese art and the cat on it is really looks like Britty Kitty ;)

Halloween ideas book is also huge help! Despite of not having Halloween tradition in our country a close friend of mine organizes Haloween parties. I participated once and it was great fun. We had all these spooky dishes like Graveyard Pie or Stuffed Mummy Skin. Today I’m going to show this book to my friend and translate some recipes to her. This year it obviously would be greater fun ;)

Thank you, [info]shadowspun!
